Francis Brewer Home School for Boys

Francis Brewer Home School for Boys, 766 Old Post Road.
The Francis Brewer Home School for Boys was built in 1800 initially as a private residence. Brewer bought the property in 1891 and turned it into a school. The school was around for 18 years and sent many boys off to Yale, Princeton, and Dartmouth. In 1931 the house was dramatically altered to gain a colonial look.

It is unknown when the Trubee house was built. What is known is that there are records of it being sold in 1812 to Samuel Comfort Trubee. The house was said to be about 10 or 12 years old when it was bought.
