Throughout Fairfield’s history, the coast has been a place for gathering food, for commerce and for enjoyment. Generations have worked, lived, and played along the edge of an abundant Long Island Sound. Our actions have also affected the shape and condition of the shoreline, creating ripple effects into the future.
