The Fairfield Plant of Du Pont Rubber Products, formerly the Fairfield Rubber Co.

The Fairfield Rubber Company was founded in 1879. The company was bought by the E.I. Dupont DeNemours Co. in 1916 and the name was changed to Dupont Fabrikoid. For several decades the company made glazed rubber for cars. Some time after, the company became Fairprene Industrial Products Co. Inc. before closing in 2003.
