Description
Visible in this photo of the Black Rock Harbor are several prominent buildings. On the left can be seen the Customs House and Storehouse, built in 1772 by Samuel Smedley and Samuel Sturges. The Customs House is currently the headquarters of Bridgeport's Fayerweather Yacht Club. The Storehouse has been torn down since the taking of this photograph.
In the center of the photo is Fancher's house. The structure on the far right of the photo is Fancher's Dock.
The smokestack of the Bridgeport Copper and Sulfuric Acid Works can also be seen in the center of the picture.
